Book Review ~ Thirteen Stars to The Billboard Bride!

Okay, you’re probably reading that and thinking – Thirteen stars? What kind of scale is she using? I thought it only went up to five?

There’s a reason for that.

Billboard Bride is a must-read for anyone who is looking for a fun, lighthearted inspirational Christian romance. It is written by Monica Mynk, author of the Cavernous Trilogy and the Goddess to Daughter series. Her talent at weaving stories not only keeps you on the edge of your seat for every page, but imparts a message of faith and redemption. I recommend all of her books.

In Billboard Bride, Monica tells a story with a unique twist.  Minutes before walking down the aisle, Melanie Turner learns that her fiance Stephen has been cheating on her. Being the spitfire she is, she grabs Daddy’s shotgun, runs onto the neighboring farm, and seeks solace in the most unusual of  places – the deck of a billboard. And instead of crying it out for a few minutes and coming back down to get on with her life, she takes her stubbornness to new heights and decides to stay up there.

For thirteen days, or until Stephen comes up and apologizes, whichever comes first. (See, I told you there was a reason for the number thirteen!)

Meanwhile, elsewhere on the property Kyle Casey has his hands full with a farm that he has no idea how to run. But he wants to prove to his grandfather that he is more than the washed-up, has-been professional baseball player that everyone in town thinks he is. When Wayne Turner asks Kyle to help talk some sense into his daughter and get her off that billboard, what follows is a journey of faith, friendship, laughter, music, and a little bit of interference from a certain brown-eyed cow named Gertie.

Will Melanie Turner ever get off that billboard? Will Kyle Casey find a way to turn his life around? Will both of them find redemption, and maybe even a second chance at love? And what kind of antics will Gertie get into along the way?

Only one way to find out. Snatch up a copy of The Billboard Bride, available on Amazon

You won’t be disappointed.
